Cine-tal Management Team
Rob Carroll, President & CEO 

Mr. Carroll's experience provides the company with a solid base of executive leadership and knowledge in marketing and product development for video, film and broadcasting equipment. Mr. Carroll was formerly President and CEO of Access Technology an interactive media agency he founded in 1994. His experience also includes 14 years in engineering and marketing with Truevision, Abekas Video Systems, Ampex and Harris.

Mr. Carroll holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology from Bradley University and an MBA in Marketing from Golden Gate University.


Henry Clark, CFO & Operations

Mr. Clark  brings 13 years of experience in controllership, finance and accounting to Cine-tal. Prior to Cine-tal Mr. Clark was Director of Business Planning for Thomson. Mr. Clark also brings a wealth of public accounting experience with him from Ernst and Young. 

Mr. Clark is a CPA and attended Indiana University Kelly School of Business where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Accounting.

Bob Caldwell, Managing Director of International Sales

Mr. Caldwell provides Cine-tal with 35 years of experience in broadcasting, video and film. His experience includes producing and directing live sports for NCAA basketball and building a national media production and post production company that worked with CBS, ESPN, ABC and other major clients.

Tom Vannemen, Volatus Advisors 

Mr. Vanneman's background includes extensive experience in financial management, strategic planning, investor relations, operations, consulting, and project management.
He previously served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Software Artistry, Inc., a public software company acquired by Tivoli Systems.

Mr. Vanneman previously served as Vice President and Treasurer of Acordia, Inc., where he lead the company through a successful initial public offering. Prior to Acordia, Mr. Vanneman spent eight years with Alexander & Alexander Services, Inc. and was respected as a leader for improving under-performing business units.

A graduate of the University of Iowa, Vanneman earned a Masters of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Business Administration.


Carl Calabria, Vice President - Sonos

Formerly Mr. Calabria was Vice President, Engineering, at Avid Technology, Inc., (AVID, NASDAQ), the world leader in digital nonlinear media creation, management, and distribution solutions, enabling film, video, audio, animation, games, and broadcast professionals to work more efficiently, productively, and creatively.  Mr. Calabria also served as General Manager, OEM Solutions Business Unit, at Pinnacle Systems, Inc. (PCLE, NASDAQ). In 1997 Pinnacle Systems purchased Truevision, Inc. a company co-founded by Mr. Calabria.


Jane Martin, Village Ventures

Ms. Martin is a co-founder of Spring Mill Venture Partners and a General Partner with Village Ventures.  As such, she serves as the primary liaison between Spring Mill and the support services Village Ventures provides to the fund.  She also plays a critical role in investment decisions by providing due diligence, insight, and deal counsel to the rest of the Spring Mill team.

A veteran Silicon Valley venture capitalist, Ms. Martin has 30 years of experience in public and private equity investing and technology commercialization.  Prior to Village Ventures, she was Acting CEO of WisdomTools, Indiana University's first technology spinout; a General Partner of U.S. Venture Partners, a leading Silicon Valley venture capital firm; and a Principle at Allstate Insurance Company's Venture Capital Division in Chicago.  Ms. Martin sits on the Executive and Valuation Committees of Gazelle Tech Ventures, the Advisory Boards of Arch Development Fund and Dunrath Partners, the Dean's Advisory Councils for the Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship at Indiana University and the Kelley School of Business, and is the former Vice Chair of Techpoint. 

Ms. Martin received her B.S. from Indiana University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (C.F.A.).


David Mann, Spring Mill Venture Partners

Mr. Mann is a co-founder and General Partner of Spring Mill Venture Partners.

Prior to Spring Mill, Mr. Mann worked with ServiceMaster Ventures, a corporate venture group.  While there, his principal focus was as a founding member of the ServiceMaster Home Service Center (formerly WeServeHomes), a joint venture between Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and ServiceMaster, in which he then held operations and sales roles.  Additionally, Mr. Mann served as assistant to the CEO of INVESCO, a leading investment management firm, while earning his M.B.A.  Mr. Mann began his career in the U.S. Navy, holding a number of general management positions that encompassed information systems, business operations and logistics, and service as a White House liaison officer.

Mr. Mann received his B.S. from the U.S. Naval Acedemy at Annapolis and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.  Additionally, he is an Adjunct Faculty member at Indiana University, Kelley School of Business (Indianapolis).


Matt Carbonara, General Partner - Reservoir Venture Partners

Mr. Carbonara has over 15 years of experience working with technology companies, in venture capital, product marketing and design engineering roles.  He is both a General Partner at Reservoir Venture Partners and a Managing Director at TeleSoft Partners, a Silicon Valley based Venture Capital firm.  As a venture capitalist Mr. Carbonara  has invested in Jungo Software (NDS), Matrix Semiconductor (SanDisk), Ikanos Communications (IPO: IKAN) and SigmaTel (IPO: SGTL).

Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, Mr. Carbonara was at Terayon Communcation Systems (IPO: TERN), where he initially architected and designed ASICs for Terayon's cable modem systems before moving into product marketing and product management.  He also had design roles at LSI Logic and Amdahl Corporation. 

Mr. Carbonara received his B.S., Summa Cum Laude, and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State University.
